It all begins in June 2020. Chinese smartphone brand OPPO wants to further establish its presence in the French-speaking Swiss market. The brand already works regularly with Wiamedia for product unboxings and articles on its website. Vojood, through Wiamedia, suggested that they travel around Switzerland in a van to raise their profile and create an experience directly with their audience. Unfortunately, the project could not materialize, as the Covid-19 pandemic forced us all to stay at home.
Two years later, a meeting between OPPO and Volkswagen Switzerland was organized, and the brands were brought together.
In July 2023, Wiamedia was invited to Zurich for the launch of the new OPPO Reno 10 series. A surprise was to be unveiled, but no further details were given. On arrival, a VW California bus with a colorful design by Swiss street artist Oibel1 stood proudly in the square 🤩
In a very short space of time, Wiamedia devised an activation mixing social networks and influencer strategy to criss-cross the roads of French-speaking Switzerland and meet the brand’s fans. In less than 2 weeks, the agency set up a tour of Romandie on board the bus to give away the latest OPPO Enco Air3 Pro headphones, not yet available on the market. In one Saturday, the Wiamedia team visited Geneva, Neuchâtel, Fribourg, Montreux and Lausanne, distributing no fewer than 15 pairs of headphones and meeting and chatting with numerous fans of the brand across French-speaking Switzerland.
